Two months have passed since we launched our new ‘IMPACT Café & Coworking’ space. Nothing makes me happier then to report on it’s success so far!
After 3 years of searching for the right location, there is always fear on what lies ahead when launching a new business, and especially with a unique model of combining a ‘non-profit’ with a ‘business for profit’ model.
We’ve started out strong, thanks to the marketing team made up of a strong team of volunteers who all have a tremendous passion for the success of IMPACT. 4 events per week have been held every week since launching. These include an IMPACT launch party, a Board game night, a UPS Appreciation Cocktail event, a Rap music concert, a French Immigration law workshop, lunch and chill Sundays event with our STCP Football team, a Bingo Night, and a workshop on helping refugees find work.
Over 25+ volunteer and CSR activities at IMPACT are up and running each month, including new activities such as the STCP Run Club, and a new “Adult’ Sandwich making Club’, to complement our weekly Tuesday night S.A.V.E. workshops and of course our weekly French training on Wednesday nights, and our weekly English training on Thursday nights.
A variety of customers are frequenting IMPACT. In addition to STCP volunteers and beneficiaries, we seem to have caught the attention of the local neighbors and freelance workers and employees in the neighborhood who come for the specialty cafes and Tostadas, or simply to co-work. This is partially due to the partnership with the Peace Museum, where they have agreed to provide photos of “International Peace Advocates” and “Heros of Peace”, on the outside walls of IMPACT.
So for, the model is working very well, and I have an ocean of gratitude for everyone who is working so hard to make IMPACT Café & Coworking a success. Please visit us in person, or see us on Instagram, or on our website at https://impactcafe.paris.
